About the Role
Limes Medical Centre is seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clinicians and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clinicians with patient care, including setting up and supporting them during procedures.
- Conduct phlebotomy, urine testing, and wound dressing, as well as perform patient health checks and blood pressure monitoring.
- Provide assistance with minor operations, coil fittings, and venepuncture, ensuring patient care and safety.
- Undertake ECGs, NHS health checks, and spirometry, as well as administer Influenza/B12 injections according to protocols.
- Ensure adequate infection control procedures and stock levels, as well as input information onto SystmOne.
- Participate in fridge temperature logging and reporting cold chain issues, as well as ensure the safe storage and disposal of vaccines.
Person Specification
- Qualified in phlebotomy and holding GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths.
- Experience working in a nursing team within general practice and understanding of healthcare in your role.
- Knowledge of SystmOne is desirable.
