About the Role

Limes Medical Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Healthcare Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, including phlebotomy, wound dressing, and patient health checks.
  • Conduct blood pressure monitoring, weight and height measurements, and blood sugar level testing.
  • Provide assistance in minor operations and coil fittings, ensuring patient care and safety.
  • Undertake health checks, including NHS health checks and spirometry testing.
  • Ensure adequate infection control procedures are in place and maintained in treatment and consulting rooms.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering medical supplies, and recording and storing supplies on receipt.
  • Input information onto SystmOne and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the safe storage, recording, rotation, and disposal of vaccines.
  • Log and report fridge temperature issues as necessary.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Qualified in phlebotomy.
  • GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience of working in a nursing team within general practice.
  • Understanding of healthcare in your role.
  • Desirable: knowledge of SystmOne.
