We are seeking a skilled and experienced support worker to join our team as an Advanced Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, who have complex needs, to lead the best life possible.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced support worker to step up and make a real difference in the lives of our service users. You will be working with a group of amazing individuals living in a scheme of bungalows, who range in age from 20-60 years old.

The scheme can cater for individuals with needs related to learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and physical disabilities. Our service users are a vibrant and active group, who enjoy socialising with each other, especially in the summer. They have a range of hobbies and interests, including drama/theatre, art, cooking, gaming, collecting, swimming, and horse riding.

As an Advanced Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting our service users to achieve their goals, including learning new skills, getting jobs, learning to drive, and having relationships. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a skilled and experienced support worker who shares our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable. You will need to have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism, and sensory communication, and physical health, and challenging behavior. If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment, you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
