We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse Lead to join our team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Healthcare Assistants and Donor Care Supervisors to provide and deliver a high standard of personal care to our donors.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include taking clinical responsibility for ensuring the safe assessment and blood donation of our donors, being accountable for the safe running of a blood donation session, and taking responsibility for ensuring an excellent donor experience. You will also be responsible for maintaining the competency and skills of your team and yourself, as well as being able to adapt communication styles for difficult conversations.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Registered Nurse qualification with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration, as well as a full and valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points. You will also need to have experience of supporting the professional development of others, as well as an understanding of clinical audit and research.
