Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children's Services team in Croydon. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing leadership and expertise in social work practice, working closely with families and children to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and support to social workers, promoting high-quality practice and outcomes for children and families.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based plans to address the needs of children and families, working collaboratively with other agencies and professionals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and risk assessments, using analytical and problem-solving skills to inform decision-making.
  • Write clear and concise reports, using effective communication skills to engage with children, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and other professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and partnership.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with up-to-date registration with Social Work England.
  • Foundation level systemic practice qualification desirable.
  • Practice Educator or Practice Teacher qualification desirable.
  • Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings.
  • Able to maintain accurate and comprehensive records, using data to inform practice and improve outcomes.
