Senior Social Work Practitioner

About the RoleThe Senior Social Work Practitioner will provide leadership of practice through exemplary direct work, development of staff, and specialist focus on a given area of practice. This role requires an expert practitioner who directly delivers or contributes to the delivery of positive safety and well-being outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities- Engage and build relationships with children and families.
- Conduct analytical and continuous assessments.
- Write high-quality reports and maintain accurate case records.
- Make professional judgments and recommendations based on assessment and review.
- Develop, coordinate, implement, and review evidence-based plans.
- Provide direct help to children and families.
- Match children and families with relevant services based on identified needs.
- Coordinate multi-professional and agency input to assessment, planning, and help.
- Apply theoretical frameworks to all aspects of practice.
- Support the development of creative and innovative care planning.
- Oversee planning for children where necessary.
- Deliver to performance standards consistently across measures.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, with a foundation level systemic practice qualification and experience in child protection and family support. Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care is essential.
