Job Title: Senior Practitioner - Social Work with Families

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team in Croydon Council's Children's Services. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing leadership and expertise in social work with families, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to social workers in the team, promoting high-quality practice and expertise in social work with families.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based plans to support children and families, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure effective support for children and families.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and support.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with up-to-date registration with Social Work England.
  • Foundation level systemic practice qualification desirable.
  • Practice Educator or Practice Teacher qualification desirable.
  • Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings.
