About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children's Services team in Croydon. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing leadership and expertise in social work with families, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and expertise in social work with families, including direct work with children and families, and supervision of junior staff.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based plans to support children and families, working closely with other agencies and professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of our Systemic Practice model, ensuring that our services are responsive to the needs of children and families.
  • Support the development of our staff, providing training and guidance on best practice in social work with families.
  • Work closely with our team to ensure that our services are delivered to a high standard, meeting the needs of children and families.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with up-to-date registration with Social Work England.
  • Foundation level systemic practice qualification desirable.
  • Practice Educator or Practice Teacher qualification desirable.
  • Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings.
  • Able to maintain records that evidence our engagement with children and families, informs the quality assurance framework.
