About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team in Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with severe mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate care plans to meet individual needs of service users.
  • Work autonomously with an ability to communicate and engage effectively with service users.
  • Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with a range of people from statutory and non-statutory agencies.
  • Autonomously manage time, prioritise work, utilise problem solving strategies to meet the needs of the service users and the service as a whole.
  • Ability to assess risk and respond appropriately using evidence-based literature.
  • CPA/Mental Health Measure 2010 to facilitate this.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Possession of postgraduate qualification (diploma, degree or higher qualification) or evidence of working towards the same.
  • Experience of working at Band 5 within a multidisciplinary team framework in Acute Adult Mental Health Services.
  • Experience of joint working with other agencies/services.
Desirable
  • Experience of working with family and carers.
  • Ability to use word processor and database.
  • Ability to speak Welsh.
