We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Support Worker to join our team at the Kent Autistic Trust. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism and related disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals with autism and related disabilities, promoting their independence and choice.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and hygiene, and household management.
  • Support individuals with complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities.
  • Drive a mobility car or service vehicle, with a manual license required.
  • Work with individuals who may display challenging behaviors, mental health issues, or other complex needs.
  • Administer medication and assist with medical procedures, as required.
  • Form good working relationships with other members of staff and individuals we support.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
Requirements
  • Manual driving license.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and related disabilities.
  • Ability to think on your feet and problem-solve.
  • Understanding of individual abilities and support needs.
  • Commitment to promoting independence and choice.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
