Job Summary
Manual Handling Training Specialist - 27 hours per week
Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Manual Handling Training Specialist to join our Clinical Training Team. As a Manual Handling Training Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating manual handling programs for our workforce. This includes training staff in safe moving and handling practices, as well as promoting best practice for clinical and non-clinical staff.
Main Duties
Support the manual handling officer in the design, delivery, and evaluation of manual handling programs, including induction in relation to safe moving and handling, in accordance with Trust and national priorities.
Deliver manual handling and associated equipment training and basic life support training in line with the Trust training plans and according to Trust requirements.
Actively maintain a professional manual handling and equipment advisory service across the Trust, providing specialist advice for all clinical and non-clinical staff as required.
Assist with the promotion of a healthy workplace by educating staff and implementing change to minimize the risk of injury from the moving and handling of loads and people, static postures, and repetitive activities.
