Financial Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work within our SEUK Financial Accounting Team, managing Financial Reporting, Fixed Assets, Treasury & Intercompany tasks for all business areas.
Main Responsibilities- Timely and accurately deliver various Treasury tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly cycle.
- Send bank statements and reports to relevant departments for posting or information.
- Post Intercompany receipts to vendor or customer accounts.
- Daily bank reconciliation, netting, matching, bank allocations, and cash flow management.
- Daily cash flow forecast and bank clearing.
- Manual same-day payment creation, maintaining Firm Banking payments file, Payment Factory file, and liaising with the bank.
- FX spot deal and forward deal requests, collaborating closely with EO treasury and posting in SAP and the bank.
- Ensure evidence attached to postings for audit purposes.
- Bi-monthly netting cycle, including notification, additions, deletions, settlement reports, and journal postings in SAP.
- Month-end FX valuations and Deferred Income as well as ZBT Interest Postings.
- Complete the Treasury quarterly DC&P reports for submission to HQ.
- Monthly FSCS reporting for timely bank postings.
- Provide cover for downloading bank statements, updating daily bank balances, and daily bank transfer postings, and ZBT postings.
- Assist the Treasury Manager with quarterly external audit deliverables.
- Any Ad-Hoc treasury posting.
- Opportunity for cross-training and development within the wider Financial Accounting Team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); able to handle and maintain strong internal and external working relationships in a professional and cordial manner.
- Flexible and adaptable to cope with a pressured environment and tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and shown organisational skills are a priority.
- Strong customer service focus and the ability to work well autonomously.
- Computer literate with strong excel skills and ideally have SAP experience.
- Omnipresent self-starter who enjoys routine tasks as well as ad-hoc queries.
- Strong Excel skills.
- If you have a background in Finance, that is a bonus, although certainly not essential.
We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience, along with:
