Senior Family & Systemic Psychotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Family & Systemic Psychotherapist to join our team at Oasis Restore Secure School (ORSS). ORSS is a pioneering secure school in the UK, providing a safe and supportive environment for children aged 12-18 who are on remand or sentenced to custody.

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive, highly specialist, trauma-informed therapeutic service to children and their families, including specialist systemic assessment and therapy, as well as advice and consultation to the wider health team and residential/education team within the school.

As a Senior Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, you will be responsible for delivering and leading on trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care of children and families, considering the developmental needs of the children and ensuring consideration of the impact of their experiences on their current strengths, needs, and difficulties.

Developing good therapeutic relationships with the children and their families is key to this role, and you will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to provide a responsive, trauma-informed primary care service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist systemic assessment and therapy to children and their families
  • Develop and lead on trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care of children and families
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to provide a responsive, trauma-informed primary care service
  • Develop good therapeutic relationships with children and their families
  • Provide advice and consultation to the wider health team and residential/education team within the school

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in systemic psychotherapy or a related field
  • Experience of working with children and families in a therapeutic setting
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally sensitive practice
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
