Senior Family & Systemic Psychotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Family & Systemic Psychotherapist to join our team at Oasis Restore Secure School (ORSS). ORSS is a pioneering secure school in the UK, providing a safe and supportive environment for children aged 12-18 who are on remand or sentenced to custody.

The Senior Family & Systemic Psychotherapist will play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive, highly specialist, trauma-informed therapeutic service to children and their families. This will involve specialist systemic assessment and therapy, as well as advice and consultation to the wider health team and residential/education team within the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care of children and families, considering the developmental needs of the children and ensuring consideration of the impact of their experiences on their current strengths, needs and difficulties.
  • Develop good therapeutic relationships with the children and their families, which is key for this post and in the wider service delivery.
  • Work in line with 'Child First' principles to create a developmentally appropriate and trauma-informed healthcare service.
  • Contribute to the development of a new service that will have a real impact on promoting health and well-being for this vulnerable population and impact on their future life orientation.
