GVA Search is proud to be partnering with a rapidly-growing FMCG business in central London. The company is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Director who will play a critical role in driving business performance and making strategic decisions.

This role reports directly to the Finance Director and involves responsibility for all financial aspects of the day-to-day running of the company, including timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts board packs. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate.

  1. Support the Finance Director in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting function, providing leadership and guidance to ensure timely and concise reporting to key stakeholders and the Board.
  2. Prepare high-quality, insightful monthly management accounts and Board reporting packs that accurately reflect the company's financial health and performance.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control, aligning with the company's objectives and vision.
  4. Direct and develop Accounting staff, setting SMART goals and objectives to ensure they are motivated and equipped to meet their responsibilities.
  5. Oversee the annual operating budget, ensuring all financial targets are met and regulatory requirements are complied with.
  6. Provide expert financial advice and guidance to managers and staff, enabling them to achieve their objectives and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong leadership and communication abilities. They will have a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment and be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced setting.
