Vitae Financial Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Manager to join our client, a leading household brand name in London. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to partner with the Strategy team of a FTSE listed organisation, focusing on value creation and strengthening of performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Strategy Finance to business partner the Director of Strategy, utilising financial modelling skills, with strong technical and analytical capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing financial analysis and insight in relation to the development of robust financial models for new initiatives to support high-quality business cases.
  2. Understanding and assessing the commercial rationale for new ventures.
  3. Tracking and reporting on performance of new initiatives.
  4. Presenting financial information, clearly communicating risks.
  5. Budgeting, forecasting and reporting for project spend.
  6. Building and maintaining strong relationships.
  7. Delivering robust financial analysis and insight to aid key strategic decision making.
  8. Acting as an integral part of strategy project teams.

Key skills and experience required include:

  1. ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified.
  2. Demonstrable commercial experience, ideally gleaned within FMCG or Retail, or with prior strategy/M&A/Transactions Services experience from Big 4/Consulting.
  3. Strong Excel and good level of financial modelling.
  4. Comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders, ability to challenge and influence when necessary.
  5. Capable of working within an evolving environment, adapting to change well.
  6. Effective and credible communicator.
  7. High level of curiosity and willingness to proactively investigate new ideas.
  8. Ambitious and self-motivated character, able to work on own initiative and consistently looking to achieve high standards.
