Clinical Haematology Specialist with Expertise in Red Cell Medicine

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Haematology Specialist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have expertise in Red Cell Medicine and a strong clinical background in Haematology.
Main Responsibilities
The post-holder will be responsible for leading and developing a comprehensive Red Cell service at the hospital site and in the community. They will work closely with other colleagues to ensure provision of excellent Red Cell care and will undertake at least one weekly Red Cell outpatient clinic.
Key Requirements
- Full GMC specialist registration
- Full MRCP or equivalent
- Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
- Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in Haematology and expertise in Red Cell Medicine. They will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of current clinical issues in general medicine and will be able to keep professional knowledge and skills up to date.
