Job Title: Consultant Haematology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematology to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a comprehensive red cell service at the NMUH site and in the community. They will work closely with other colleagues to ensure provision of excellent red cell care and will undertake at least one weekly red cell outpatient clinic.

The post-holder will also be encouraged to develop other areas of interest in non-malignant or malignant haematology, subject to discussion with clinical and divisional leads. They will work alongside other consultants to review Haematology referrals from primary care and from within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a comprehensive red cell service at NMUH and in the community
  • Undertake at least one weekly red cell outpatient clinic
  • Develop other areas of interest in non-malignant or malignant haematology
  • Work alongside other consultants to review Haematology referrals
Person Specification
  • Full GMC specialist registration
  • Full MRCP or equivalent
  • Full and specialist registration with the GMC (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
  • UK trained applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview
  • Non-UK trained applicants must show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £107,666 to £142,044 per annum, inclusive of benefits and a supportive working environment.
