Job Title: Development and Communications Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development and Communications Director to join our team at the Coalition Against Hunger. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our mission to end hunger in the Philadelphia region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an Annual Fundraising and Communications Plan and budget to support organizational and strategic goals.
  • Staff the Board's Development Committee and work closely with the Operations Manager and Controller to ensure revenue is tracked and recorded correctly.
  • Manage special projects as requested and provide leadership for fundraising events such as the Race Against Hunger and the Night To Fight Hunger.
  • Communicate grant expectations and financial restrictions to program team members and the Executive Director for tracking purposes.
  • Oversee the Communications Coordinator in their work to raise the visibility of the organization, publicize our fundraising efforts, and highlight the work of our program team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree, with a minimum of five years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing a development plan.
  • Team oriented with a creative approach to fundraising.
  • Knowledge of the greater Philadelphia region and its philanthropic community.
  • CRM experience. QuickBooks online experience is a plus.
