Executive Director Opportunity

Friends of the Children is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Philadelphia chapter, driving generational change and empowering youth facing obstacles. As Executive Director, you will collaborate with community leaders, schools, and non-profit partners to address foster care and intergenerational poverty in North Philadelphia and Kensington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning, program evaluation, and fundraising efforts to secure major donors and corporate support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, caregivers, families, and children, understanding unique disparities and advocating for equity.
  • Oversee program implementation, ensuring full engagement of youth, families, and communities impacted by our work.
  • Collaborate with the National team to advance diversity, equality, and inclusion, and antiracism initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication of our mission and outcomes, serving as a dynamic spokesperson for the organization.
