The role of an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant is to provide emotional and social support to students who require additional help with their emotional development. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and emotional literacy, enabling them to deliver tailored interventions that enhance emotional well-being and resilience. Working closely with class teachers and SENCO, the ELSA will help students build their self-esteem, manage emotions, and improve their social skills, contributing to a positive and nurturing learning environment. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a relevant subject from a top 30 UK University and experience working with children in a school setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as well as being compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students' well-being. The estimated salary for this position is £23,000 per annum, and we offer opportunities for professional development and training in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
