Child Wellbeing Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Child Wellbeing Support Worker to join our team at Durham County Council. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the educational and emotional needs of our most vulnerable pupils are met.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our experienced teaching staff, contributing to the development of effective strategies to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.
As Child Wellbeing Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualised support to pupils who require medical care at home or in a clinical setting.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality pupil support
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote pupil wellbeing and achievement
- Ensure seamless transition of care for pupils requiring medical attention
Requirements:
- A strong background in teaching, childcare, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
