Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen, training junior members of the team, and ensuring that all food is of the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen and train junior members of the team
  • Ensure all food is up to standard and meets set guidelines
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Coordinate with the front of house team and Head Chef to ensure smooth service
  • Enforce health and safety standards within the kitchen
  • Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
  • Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Manage and control a busy kitchen
  • Menu planning and execution with the Head Chef
  • Purchasing and stock control
Requirements
  • Leadership skills and ability to train junior members of the team
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle pressurised situations
  • Flexibility and willingness to work weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to follow guidance from senior management team
  • Passion for food and management at the highest level
  • Empathy for customers and ability to put their needs first
