Pharmacy Technician Team Lead

Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to take on a leadership role within our medicines management team. We are seeking an individual with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Pharmacy Technician Team Manager to ensure the dispensary meets its quality and activity targets
- Manage the workload of the dispensary, supervising staff on a daily basis and organizing rotas to ensure a safe, effective, and timely service
- Hold HR management responsibilities, including staff supervision, performance management, and employee development
- Participate in the seven-day supply service, contributing to the delivery of high-quality medicines optimization and pharmaceutical care services to all service users, carers, and healthcare professionals
- Lead in providing a comprehensive dispensary service to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, supported by appropriate policies and procedures
Requirements:
- BTEC level 3 in pharmaceutical science, or Level 3 NVQ in pharmacy service skills, or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- BTEC Level 4 in dispensing accuracy checking, or equivalent qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- NVQ A1 workplace assessor (or willingness to work towards)
- Management experience within pharmaceutical services, preferably in an NHS context
- Experience of medicines management services, including dispensing and accuracy checking medication
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environments, and respond to emerging challenges
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing professional development (CPD)
