Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Team Leader

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to lead our dispensary services team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy services and leadership skills to manage a team of dedicated pharmacy staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of pharmacy staff, including students and support workers, to ensure the efficient supply of dispensed medication for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Act as a leader within the dispensary setting, overseeing the operational aspects of the service to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical supply needs.
  • Assess the training needs of pharmacy staff and provide competency-based training to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  • Supervise staff during induction and training periods, ensuring they are equipped to work safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • BTEC level 3 in pharmaceutical science or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience of managing staff and services within a pharmacy setting.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
