Career Opportunity

We are currently seeking a qualified Residential Childcare Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working alongside our Manager to ensure our service users receive the highest standard of care and support.

Main Responsibilities

  1. A genuine empathy for young people, supporting them to achieve their goals and ambitions.
  2. Build and develop relationships with our young people and encourage them to participate fully in the opportunities offered within the home.
  3. Plan and participate fully in a working rota, including evenings, sleep-ins, and weekends.
  4. Build strong working relationships with external agencies such as Local Authorities and other Health/Social Care professionals.
  5. Conduct formal key work sessions with young people and produce reports for each session.
  6. Be responsible for the effective safeguarding of the young people within your care and understand how to raise any concerns.
  7. Support our young people with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, medical appointments, meetings, etc.

Requirements

  1. Experience of working within a children and young adult residential environment.
  2. An understanding of relevant legislation relating to the care of young people.
  3. Experience of working with young people that have social, emotional, and/or behavioral difficulties.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £31,716.25 per year, paid at a rate of £12.50 per hour for 155 contracted working hours per month. You will also receive additional pay for sleeps ins at £60 per night and on-call cover at £35 per night.
