About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at Ambulnz Community Partners Ltd. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Professional Patient Care: Deliver exceptional patient care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the transportation process.
  • Operate Ambulance Vehicles: Safely and efficiently operate ambulance vehicles, adhering to road traffic laws and regulations.
  • Manage Patient Transfers: Coordinate and execute patient transfers, considering the safety and comfort of patients, staff, and others involved.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Accurately complete and maintain relevant documents, including vehicle and equipment log sheets.
  • Participate in Emergency Situations: Respond to emergency situations, utilizing relevant information to assist patients and their advocates in making informed health choices.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work effectively with experienced team members to ensure seamless patient care and transportation services.
  • Perform Routine Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain ambulance vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Requirements
  • UK Manual Driving License: Possess a valid UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points.
  • Physical Fitness: Demonstrate physical fitness, as the role may require manual handling, CPR, and reaching inaccessible patients.
  • Warm and Caring Personality: Exhibit a warm and caring personality, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as part of a 24/7 service.
  • Quality References and DBS Check: Provide quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
