Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Patient Care Support Specialist to join our diagnostic services team. The successful candidate will be required to work across various locations, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude in delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic services. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves close collaboration with Sonographers to assist patients during their appointments. Comprehensive training and opportunities for professional growth will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the efficient operation of clinics
  • Providing care and comfort to patients
  • Supporting Sonographers during patient examinations
  • Preparing clinical rooms prior to sessions
  • Utilizing patient information systems effectively
  • Maintaining a patient-centered and quality-focused approach in all tasks
  • Ensuring patients have access to a chaperone at all times
  • Adhering to professional standards and policies
  • Safeguarding patient confidentiality and data protection
  • Monitoring and managing stock levels in designated clinics
  • Ordering supplies as necessary
  • Acting as an advocate for patients
  • Reporting incidents or equipment failures promptly
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions
  • Managing workload with minimal supervision

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Good general education, including literacy and numeracy skills
  • Up-to-date Basic Life Support training
  • Experience in a customer or patient-facing role is essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
