We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at GSL Education.

Job Summary:

A Residential Support Worker plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals who live in residential care settings. These individuals may include those with disabilities, mental health issues, or those recovering from substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care and support to our residents.
  • Assist with daily activities and routines, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements:
  • Passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
