Job Summary:

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Clayton Croft Children's Home, a residential service providing 24-hour support to children and young people aged 8 to 19.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the children's communication aids are ready for them, supporting them to make independent choices on meals and activities, and empowering them to achieve and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people with their daily needs, including personal care and medication
  • Encourage and support children to develop their communication, social, and independence skills
  • Participate in internal and external activities, including outings and events
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting the well-being and dignity of all individuals

Requirements:

  • Resilience, patience, and commitment to supporting autistic individuals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a 35-hour week, including sleep-ins and varied shifts
  • Willingness to complete training and development opportunities
