Job Opportunity: Residential Children's Worker

We are partnering with a leading provider of children's services to offer a permanent opportunity for a Residential Children's Worker based in Rotherham.

As a key member of our team, you will provide support to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a children's home. Our client offers a nurturing, supportive, and fun working environment, making it an ideal place to start or progress your career.

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week plus sleep-ins, with the opportunity to progress into a Senior Role as and when the time is right. Our client is committed to professional development and offers a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, paid enrolment onto Level 3 in Residential Childcare, and market-leading training and induction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support using a person-centred approach.
  • Support children to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family.
  • Encourage children to integrate with the local community by attending clubs or day centres.
  • Support children in all aspects of their daily living.
  • Safeguard vulnerable children and report any suspicion or evidence of harm.
  • Commit to continuous professional development.
  • Cover other homes when required.
  • Liaise with parents and/or carers and other professionals.
