Speech and Language Therapist Job Opportunity

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust invites applications for a highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Critical Care team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading on critical care services, rehabilitation, and training for healthcare professionals.

Job Description

  • Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare professionals, including nurses and AHPs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse or complex presentations/multi-pathologies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold responsibility for own caseload and be accountable for a defined area of the service or patient type.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based audit and research projects to enhance clinical practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the Trust.

Person Specification

  • Degree or Masters level entry in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Attendance at recent postgraduate specialist courses relevant to the clinical field(s).
  • Qualification in advanced dysphagia management or equivalent in-house training/experience.

Salary: £55,000-70,000 per annum.
