Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapy Support Practitioner to join our Adult Team in Band 3. The successful candidate will work under the direction of qualified Speech and Language Therapists, carrying out programmes of work with adults who have speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work one-to-one and in groups with patients in acute and rehabilitation settings
  • Support others with patient care and communication
  • Record activities and liaise with Speech and Language Therapists to report change or progress

About You:

You will be a motivated individual with experience of working with adults who have communication and/or feeding difficulties. You will be well-supported by a robust leadership structure across the department and will have access to a wealth of experience and support within our wider adult service.

The post holder will receive a competitive salary of approximately £25,000 per annum, plus benefits including opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing positively to the delivery of high-quality compassionate care. You will also need to uphold the fundamental standards of safety and quality, always putting patients first and protecting them from harm.
