About the Role

Aramark UK is seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to join the team at Chessington World of Adventures, Chessington. This is a brand new, exciting, permanent, and full-time opportunity reporting into our Resort Director on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership and accountability of operational food management, food safety, and financial performance of the food operation.
  • Lead your team to success, focusing on people development and empowerment.
  • Provide sustained, innovative, and continuous support to improve menus across a diverse estate, creating recipes that surprise and delight guests.
  • Develop recipes and monitor stringent GP targets, ensuring profitability and excellence.
  • Ensure the team has the necessary tools and working equipment to perform their job effectively.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and inspiration to a large team, driving performance and excellence.
  • Take the lead on training and development of chefs and cooks, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Carry out regular audits of all food outlets, striving for excellence in food safety and cleanliness.
  • Ensure daily paper and computer work is complete, and inventories and statistical reports are accurate and timely.
  • Be accountable for delivering strong food GP across the resort, continually striving for improvement.
  • Ensure a consistent high standard of hospitality for guests and clients alike.
  • Support the team with operational requirements as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience operating as a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, multi-outlet/site operation.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, with a passion for training and development.
  • Flexible and punctual, with a willingness to work weekends.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels, across different stakeholder groups.
  • IT literate and numerate, with exacting standards of food safety and cleanliness.
  • Conducts weekly audits, ensuring actions are followed through to completion.
  • Maintains accurate records of day-to-day operations.
  • Ensures compliance with all food safety, health & safety, and COSHH regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Managed rotas and payroll.
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
