Academic Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to join our vibrant SEN school in Tonbridge. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be committed to fostering independence, building confidence, and celebrating every child's unique potential.
About the Role:
- Support teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support to students.
- Assist with classroom activities, personal care, and behavior management.
- Help pupils develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
We estimate that this role would come with a salary of approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
Requirements:
- A caring and patient individual with a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
