About the Position

We are seeking an accomplished Social Sciences Teacher to join our team at Leigh Academy Hugh Christie. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to making a positive impact.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Psychology, Sociology, Law, and Health & Social Care. As a Social Sciences Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and implement innovative lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements.
  2. Work closely with support staff to provide additional support to students who require it.
  3. Track and maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust targets as needed.
  4. Provide regular feedback to students on their performance.
  5. E nsure pupil safety in and out of the classroom.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  1. Previous experience as a qualified teacher.
  2. Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  3. Have the Right to Work in the UK.
  4. Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one.
  5. Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering the last 2 years of employment.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum
