Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our supportive SEN school in Kent, making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Position:

  • Job Title: Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Tonbridge, Kent
  • Estimated Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum

About Our School:

We provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for children and young people with various additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and communication challenges.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support to students.
  • Assist with classroom activities, personal care, and behavior management.
  • Help pupils develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each student.

Requirements:

  • A caring and patient individual with a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
