Job Title: Learning Disability Lead Teacher

We are seeking an experienced Learning Disability Lead Teacher to join our team at GET STAFFED ONLINE RECRUITMENT LIMITED. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Special Education Needs (SEN) provision across the academy. This will include developing and implementing strategies to ensure that all students with SEN receive the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the SEN department, ensuring that all staff are trained and equipped to provide high-quality support to students with SEN.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the needs of students with SEN are met.
  3. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to identify and address the needs of students with SEN.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision, making recommendations for improvement as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status.
  2. First Degree.
  3. Experience of working with students with SEN, preferably in a secondary education setting.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  5. Good understanding of relevant legislation and policy, including the SEN Code of Practice.
