Job Description

The Director of Women and Family Care will provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure that Women and Childrens commissioning meets the needs of the local population. The role will involve working closely with other associate directors, directors, and senior managers to develop and implement strategies that deliver outcomes required for the people of Somerset when accessing care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leading the commissioning, service re-design, and transformation in all areas of Women and Childrens services.
  • Implementing agreed joint commissioning arrangements and processes for Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Autism.

The post holder will be responsible for holding the relevant budget for the area of commissioning responsibility and line managing the Women and Childrens commissioning team.
