About the Role:

  • Deliver psychosocial interventions to support service users in their recovery journey within a prison estate setting.
  • Work in partnership with healthcare providers to deliver an integrated health and wellbeing model.
  • Advocate for service users who are unwilling or unable to engage in treatment.
  • Follow up with service users who miss appointments to increase engagement opportunities.
  • Contribute to risk management processes, including the prison ACCT process as appropriate.
  • Support service users in social reintegration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.

About You:

  • You will have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working in a similar field, ideally within a prison or criminal justice setting.
  • You must be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with good IT skills.
  • You will be proactive and able to work independently, with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
  • You should have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • You will be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in partnership with various professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • You must be able to manage change successfully, prioritising the needs of service users.
  • You understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to following necessary safeguards.
  • You will seek out learning opportunities to improve your professional knowledge and skills, contributing to the learning and development of others.

  • A salary range of £25,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
