About the Role

The Diocese of Truro is committed to serving those in poverty, responding to God's call throughout scripture and tradition. As a Social Responsibility Officer, you will help parishes and deaneries address social needs in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with volunteers and clergy to identify local needs and develop projects to meet those needs.
  • Support the effective use of the Lowest Income Communities Fund and other resources.
  • Promote the prophetic call to serve those in need, building networks and relationships across the Diocese.
  • Act as an advocate and champion for those at the margins of society.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working with vulnerable people and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, including budgets.
  • Capacity to build the capacity of others and communicate effectively.
  • Understanding and appreciation of God's call to serve the poor.
