Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

About the Role
  • Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • This is a full-time position, with opportunities for career growth and professional development
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

You will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, including creating purchase orders, processing invoices and payments, and monitoring the approved supplier list. You will also assist in preparing monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and year-end files for auditors.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the creation of purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods and services
  2. Process invoices and payments, maintaining accurate records and reconciliations
  3. Maintain the approved supplier list, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  4. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and year-end files for auditors
  5. Perform petty cash management, payroll processing, and balance sheet reconciliations as required
Requirements
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience in accounting or finance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel)
