Seeking an experienced Health and Social Care Education Specialist to join our team at Barnardo's.

Salary

£30,000 - £40,000 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience.

This is a term-time only position, working 22.5 hours per week over 42 weeks of the year.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Education Specialist to deliver high-quality training and assessment for students in the health and social care sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching theory, conducting practical assessments, and providing support to learners to help them achieve their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in health and social care topics.
  • Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
  • Assess students' work, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience.
  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance to learners to help them achieve their qualifications.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking an individual with a relevant qualification in health and social care, such as an NVQ, Diploma, or Degree.

A teaching qualification, such as PTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent, is preferred.

Assessing qualifications, such as CAVA, D32/33, are desirable.

Prior experience as a tutor, assessor, or in a relevant health and social care role is essential.

Strong knowledge of health and social care policies, procedures, and practices is also required.Benefits
