**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Development Economist to join our team at the World Bank Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing economic sectors, identifying opportunities, and providing technical support for operations related to structuring, appraising, and monitoring investment and advisory projects.

**Responsibilities**

  • Analyze economic sectors to identify opportunities for private sector development and work closely with IFC Operations
  • Provide technical support for operations related to structuring, appraising, and monitoring investment and advisory projects
  • Conduct econometric and qualitative analysis of ex-ante and ex-post AIMM scores and produce quarterly and annual reports explaining the differences between regions and IFC industries
  • Initiate, design, and execute analytical work on the impact of IFC's investment and advisory projects based on rigorous applied economics
  • Support data analysis on trends impact and prepare short write-ups or slides utilizing graphics and tables to effectively and creatively summarize results

**Requirements**

To be considered for this role, you should have a master's degree in economics/finance/quantitative analysis or other relevant postgraduate degree and at least 5-7 years of experience demonstrating rigorous analytical skills in economics and development results measurement.
