About the Role

This senior economist position is part of the Human Development Practice Group at the World Bank Group. The selected candidate will work on a mix of policy, research, and operational tasks in education finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide intellectual and technical leadership in education finance.
  • Lead analytical work on domestic resource mobilization, taxation mechanisms, and financial implications of demographic changes.
  • Support World Bank missions and participate in policy dialogue with client representatives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, or an international organization.
  • Strong track record of publications related to education finance or economics of education.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
