Fall Protection Sales Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at 3M Group. As a Sales Representative for Personal Safety Division, you will have the opportunity to work with our innovative Fall Protection Solutions and make a real impact in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and margin targets quarterly, under an annual sales plan.
- Identify and win opportunities as required under sales plan.
- Work with end customers to advise and promote 3M Fall Protection Solutions.
- Manage the sales pipeline with the Distributor network through effective relationships and strong communication.
- Develop 3M brand loyalty across end customers and Distributors.
- Ensure accurate communication of product updates and development.
- Collaborate with 3M technical teams to ensure a high level of on-site support where required.
- Identify and share leads with 3M colleagues for products/solutions outside core specialism.
- Develop and maintain market, industry and product knowledge.
- Collect and disseminate (internally) market trends and competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate and up to date data within a CRM system and other appropriate systems.
- Ensure all administration/planning is accurate and completed on time and in full.
Requirements
- Good standard of education.
- Strong knowledge of the Fall Protection market is essential.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both externally and internally.
- A self-starter with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Numerate and proficient with analysis and manipulation of data.
- Proficient in use of IT tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and presentation skills - written and verbal.
- Competitive & proactive instinct - takes initiative on issues and challenges to find optimum solutions.
- Tenacious, resilient - ability to navigate through conflict and challenges towards positive outcome, retaining focus and perspective.
- Able to build excellent customer relationships.
- Self-motivated & extremely driven.
Desirable Qualifications
- Have a passion for sales and exceeding targets.
- Basic knowledge of the related EN standards would be preferable.
- A knowledge of Horizontal Systems Fall Protection training.
Travel and Location
This is a field-based sales role with an expectation to travel across the territory up to 75%. The sales area is Midlands/Southern UK, and the ideal candidate location is within the defined territory preferably across the South Midlands down towards London.
