We are seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis in Llanwern, Newport. The role comes with a competitive salary of £39,280, including shift allowance.

About the Role:
  1. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex electrical faults to maintain efficient manufacturing processes.
  2. Conducting regular maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations is also key.
  3. Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve system performance and recommend upgrades is crucial.
  4. Professional development opportunities through ongoing training and staying updated with the latest technologies are available.
  5. Supervising contractor personnel while upholding safety and quality standards is another aspect of the role.
  6. Working with modern electrical systems, including PLCs, Drives, and AC & DC motor circuitry, interpreting wiring and schematic diagrams for precise work is a significant part of the job.
Requirements and Benefits:
  • An ONC qualification or equivalent is ideal, typically gained through an apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a Modern Apprenticeship certificate.
  • Previous experience working with electrical systems in a manufacturing environment is necessary.
  • A strong communicator with a proactive approach and ability to manage tasks independently and under pressure is required.
