Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Group Partnership Manager in UC Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Department for Work and Pensions' objectives by developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, employers, and policy colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, employers, and policy colleagues to achieve mutual benefit.
  • Representing the Department in local and national forums, managing complex conversations, and influencing outcomes.
  • Providing excellent communication, engagement, and presentation skills to adapt to a wide range of partner audiences.
  • Having in-depth knowledge of the local labour market and economy, and a detailed understanding of the services offered to employers and partners by Jobcentre Plus.
  • Delivering change and tangible results at pace to diverse customers and communities, and developing place-based strategic focus and continuous improvement aligned to the Departmental strategic outcomes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strategic senior leadership and influential relationship building and maintenance experience.
  • Excellent communication, engagement, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local labour market and economy.
  • Strong experience of delivering change and tangible results at pace.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £52,412, plus a contribution towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Additionally, they will be entitled to generous annual leave, flexible working patterns, and competitive maternity, paternity, and parental leave.

Location

Candidates will be given an opportunity to express a preference for their office base location when offers are made. Locations can be any site within the Wales Universal Credit Group where space allows and with agreement of the Group Director/Demand Management.

Hybrid Working

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work.
