Job Summary

The Professional Education and Strategic Leadership - Nursing and Midwifery Team at NHS England is seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Support Officer to join their PMO team.

The postholder will provide comprehensive project administration support, working across the nursing and midwifery education agenda, contributing to the delivery of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include providing project administration support, multitasking, problem-solving, and prioritizing workload with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will be able to lead, delegate, and oversee the workload of others, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

NHS England operates a hybrid model of working, with 40% in-person working and 60% home working expected.

The postholder may be required to travel nationally and stay overnight on occasion to support events and activities associated with the training.

Person Specification

  • Essential:
    • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience/knowledge
    • Good understanding of a range of work procedures and practices
  • Desirable:
    • Evidence of continued professional development

Requirements

  • Proven track record of supporting multiple complex projects in a politically sensitive environment
  • Experience of managing the full life cycle of meetings
  • Experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and providing information and advice
