Project Officer for Marine Research

Are you an experienced researcher support professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have a strong background in research support and a passion for marine conservation? We are seeking a highly skilled Project Officer to join our team at the University of Leeds.

The successful candidate will assist with the running and logistics of our marine research projects, helping to deliver high-quality research and impact. You will support the delivery of ClimateREEFS and other projects/programmes of work, managing their implementation at the various stages of the lifecycle. Juggling priorities, managing stakeholder expectations and risks, you will provide accurate and articulate reports on projects/programmes progress, coordinate Asian research permits and logistics, and help with purchasing.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with collaborators and their project assistants, providing administrative support and coordinating activities and events. You will also assist with interactions with funding agencies (IDRC, Lenfest) and multiple stakeholders and partners in the Global South, coordinating our reporting on progress and outcomes.

Reporting to PI, you will manage the operations of the project and coordinate activities and events, including organizing our international ECR network, assisting with social media, contributing to the coordination with project partner research delivery and collaborations, and administering field logistics and documentation.
